Bald faced hornet

It loves to snack on the flowers of the anise plant, which unfortunately never came up with a "fruit". Some times there are four of these "wasps" on it at the same time. (front view of the hornet will be in the extras) It is about 1,5 times as big as a normal wasp. 

An early swim and bike ride at the gym. Coming home I had forgotten that I had been planning to run several errands and started immediately to prepare our warm meal, which ended up tasting very good.

This afternoon I was mainly taking a long nap and took care of the forgotten errands. Don still is picking blackberries so we ended up making another blackberry cake together tonight.

The wind has turned, the air is clean again and the temperatures are back to normal :69 F
