The apples are almost ready to pick.  I have had a lazy afternoon watching the helicopter images following the route of the Queen’s cortege on TV and picking out many familiar places.  It showed  the vast numbers of people watching the cortege pass by.and how attractive much of the countryside in the east of Scotland is.  Fortunately the rain didn’t start until the Queen arrived at Holyrood in Edinburgh although the crowds there would have got wet on their way home.
