The Gathering Place

A friend who lives elsewhere wanted me to post a photo of this. It looks quite nice in my picture, but it is rather controversial. It is a kind of viewing platform which is also described as an 'artwork.' To be honest you can get better views of the river from the nearby suspension bridges. It only extends to the shore. People have questioned the point of it and the money spent on it. I did not ask nearby fishermen what they thought because I might not be able to print their replies.
