Mayia, Kiotari Rhodes day 1

We arrived at the airport really early after leaving our car in an off airport carpark. Checking in and security was much quicker than we thought it would be due to the recent bad press. We did find that the new terminal at Manchester was way too small to cater for the amount of people wanting to eat before their flights and the queues were horrendous. We had lunch at Pret and grabbed a sandwich before the flight to eat on the plane to keep us going.
I didn't enjoy the flight at all but was really pleased to arrive in Rhodes. We've been waiting 3 years for this holiday and really needed a break. The taxi journey to the hotel was almost as stressful as the flight! Our Greek taxi driver drove way too fast, he drove too close to the car in front and was on his phone a lot during the hour long journey - texting and talking. Needless to say I didn't tip him. We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning and it is stunning.
