Half a Station

A train heading to Ayr pulls into Troon Station on platform 2 while on platform 1 there are no station buildings following the fire in July 2021 which destroyed them. A consultation is currently taking place regarding which of three designs should be used for the new building. Two are based on the original whilst the third is a modern design.
