Copper Beech

Looking autumnal rather than springlike, the sunshine through the copper beech buds and leaves today was astonishing against the bright blue sky.

There is still a cold easterly wind and I have lit the fire this evening.

In other random news:
My trusty motor mower that started first time last week broke down half an hour later with a problem with the drive belt. Mellors tried to mend it on Monday but only succeeded in making it worse. Today I took it to the wonderful Taylors Tools in Kings Langley who mended it for me while I waited and only charged me a tenner - Result..
