Bucklers Hard.

It was still raining this morning so we packed up everything in the van and drove to Lymington on the coast to see the boats and explore the town.  Lunch in the Kings Head was good.
After that the sun came out, blue sky appeared and we drove over to Bucklers Hard, an 18th century shipbuilding village on the Beaulieu River. It’s a beautiful place with a museum and Shipwrights Cottages.
Horatio Nelson’s favourite ship the Agamemnon was built there and was launched in April 1781. She was wrecked in Maldonado bay Uruguay in 1809.
We took a short boat tour down the river in the lovely sunshine . There are hundreds of boats moored around there , it’s a very popular place to visit.
LooseCanon is blipping the famous cottages , and view of the river.
