The Lozarithm Lens

Keevil's Weir (Wednesday 14th September 2022)

There was a light drizzle all morning so gardening has been deferred to tomorrow. When it cleared up in the afternoon I decided to wander down to the old canal and river path and make my way into Calne. This spot is known locally as Keevil's Weir and was taken looking back towards Berhill's Farm, where I had just come from (the path into town is on the right, where the river turns).

The RAW image of this had some strange striations in the sky so I had to process from the JPEG (taken simultaneously) which was unaffected. I've noticed this before with this Sigma lens, but can't imagine how the in-camera processing can automatically fix it, or why it needed to.

At the other end of the path are two bridges, Chaveywell Bridge which goes over the Wilts & Berks and an unnamed newer bridge over the River Marden from where I could hear mallards making a lot of duck noises (seen in Extras).

Yesterday I was in Lyneham having my Moderna Autumn booster.
