A Touching Moment

My return from Edinburgh airport coincided with the departure of the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II from Edinburgh. As I got through security the passengers waiting for departing planes were waiting by the windows for the plane to leave. The skies were clear and blue. The airport was quiet, with no traffic coming or going and the RAF C17 took to the air. As it disappeared, heading off to Northolt, the assembled crowd who were quiet as the plane left let out a round of applause and steadily dispersed.
