Breakey Blips

Very low tide

We have only been living here for a month, and the way the tide varies in this sea loch in both time and extent is intriguing.
I went right down to the low low tide water's edge - looking back, I was quite far from the beach. But I noticed that the high tide line of discarded seaweed was also at an extreme hight up the beach. The full moon was a few nights ago, but does it take a couple of days for its full effects to be demonstrated?

I don't know- yet!

The temperatures in the evenings are starting to drop, and a jacket would have been smart. Slightly chilly.

The extra is Portpatrick hotel and harbour, with the flag at half mast for her Majesty, the late Queen. She was leaving Edinburgh today for the next part of her slow but inexorable Royal progress towards her funeral next Monday.
