Eureka!

What a smashing few hours we had today with Euan at Eureka! A Museum we haven't visited since our daughters were very young.  Certainly interactivity has moved on incredibly.  Euan had several favourites we had to prise him away from: the bucket lift which involved posting large squidgy balls through a hall on to a giant bucket lift which took them up and deposited them on a conveyor belt which dropped them down an obstacle chute.  There were some tricky negotiations about sharing when other children arrived, but he coped very well with that and thankfully had periods of time when he had the machine to himself.  Another highlight was the projection of a rockpool full of tropical fish whose waters swirled when you walked across it and the fish darted under the rocks (!)  We finished our visit in the imagination area which is featured in my blip and which was magical.  Euan is stepping on the coloured light when the ducks come racing by and if he timed it right they leapt up into the air and were gobbled up by the monsters.  We were concerned that many of the exhibits would be above him but there were lots to keep him occupied, a smashing visit.
