Dereliction

Having recovered somewhat from my exertions in the garden, Milly and I decided to to the Delnies walk to the west of Nairn in reverse this morning. The sun was still very low in the sky giving the ground a tint of red. When you walk a route in reverse you get a totally different perspective. I saw this view of the dilapidated farm buildings and was intrigued by the layers across the scene and also the sense of scale. The farm buildings are about a quater of a mile away. To the left of the picture you can see the waters of the Moray Firth. To the right, the little white buildings are near Fortrose on the Black Isle and the snow covered hills in the background are in Easter Ross abour 20 miles away.
