Duff House Mausoleum

The rectangular 'Gothic' mausoleum was built in 1792 by the 2nd Earl of Fife - James Duff on the site of a Carmelite monastery. Inside are the remains of 5 Earls of Fife and other family members - some of them brought here from elsewhere. A tomb on the outside (extra) was removed from St Mary's Kirkyard in Banff in a false claim to descent from Robert the Bruce.
