Still standing ...

Walking today along the paths in the folds of the Torcal mountain I saw these magnificent long stemmed Drimia reaching for the sky. It looks like a wild asparagus in many ways and Drimia is placed in the family Asparagacea (says Siri on my phone :-)

Also everywhere, low on the ground, are abundant striking purple thistle like plants which I think look like Cardoons but could also be Cirsium. They are drying out a bit but still really pretty and I've put one in the extra.  Have a restful weekend everyone.
