Rafael

We’re quite insular when we travel. We like each other’s company and like finding out things together. At Pere Lachaise we were just striking out to find Oscar Wilde (having enjoyed a couple of very self-absorbed performances at Jim Morrison’s tomb) when Rafael annexed us. He then took us on a sprint around the site, finding us endless tombs of interest to us, with endless stories and facts and always with “just a shortcut”. We had only a little cash to offer him for his time but the unexpected tour was amazing.
