Wound up in Wexford

Today, another step to settling - we drove down to Limerick, where we had left some items in storage, and collected them all.

Some were brought in anticipation of a possible scenario, where we "camp" in our purchase whilst constructing some (possibly temporary) garaging, before bringing over the bulk of our stuff.  So there's crockery, cutlery, pots and pans - but it's so long since we packed it we can't remember the exact contents.  This apartment is pretty well supplied with all these necessities - except it's a bit short of dinner knives.  So we need to find these.

On the way back we asked our sat nav to find a non-motorway route, and came through some lovely countryside, and some small towns.  We stopped in Broadford for lunch - a small, friendly, but slightly chaotic cafe.  Lunch was nice enough, but too filling to allow pudding, so we brought some home for tea.

We also stopped in Loughrea to charge the car, we, and the Tesla driver at the other charger, had to get ESB involved on the phone, as we just couldn't get the chargers to work.  We're quite used to these hassles, the Tesla driver's reaction "It's really NOT good enough" - in a highly exasperated tone!

Now drinking gin, (neat, with ice) soon be time to eat the lemon meringue, hope it tastes as good as it looks.

Edit: I've changed my user name and journal name to better reflect where I am now.
