Boston MIA/POW Recognition Ceremony

In Boston, Martin and I came across the 2022 Boston MIA/POW Recognition Ceremony. It was an honour to hear veterans speak about efforts to find and repatriate missing US Forces personnel. Stirring music was provided by Boston Police Gaelic column of Pipes and Drums.

I must say, we both found it quite emotional. Such care and respect given to those 81,000 plus Americans missing in action from all conflicts since World War One. It made me think of my great grandfather, who lies buried in Mandalay, Burma, having fought and died in the Burma campaign during World War Two.

After the ceremony, we wandered over to Quincy Hall and have had a very pleasant day in the city.
