Davis Cup

Final day of the competition in Glasgow and GB played Kazakhstan for third position in the group after failing to qualify for the knockout stage. This photo was taken early in the day as Andy Murray and Cameron Norrie warmed up giving clues to today's order of play. First up Andy Murray beat Dmitry Popko 6-4, 6-3. Next Cameron Norrie lost, by the same score, to Alexander Bublik. The final placing was then in the hands of doubles team Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski and they did not disappoint. They beat Alexander Bublik and Alexander Nedovyesov in a tense match which was decided by 3 tie breaks - 7-6, 6-7, 7-6. There was nothing in today's play that suggested these games weren't important. The crowd were treated to some great tennis and their support was magnificent.

Have I just seen Andy Murray in his last Davis Cup match? Who knows. He did say in his post match interview that he would always make himself available for his country if selected. He was certainly first choice for this Glasgow crowd.

The extra is the singles players watching the doubles match.
