Summer's Best!

These peaches are to die for…I love and look forward to this part of summer !   (it’s summer for a few more days….)  Grown east of the mountains, I think they are a bit late due to cold spring which also predicted there would be fewer, especially of the earlier varieties. 

Besides taking a walk along Lake Washington, and buying a flat of these huge juicy peaches, we went on an “art date” to see an exhibition of Romare Reardon, whose collages I admire a lot.  I’ve used cut up paintings as collage pieces in some work so was interested to see his abstract canvas pieces on paper.  (future blip?)   as well as the figurative collage pieces he’s more well known for.
