today's another day

Looking Up

The view up to the tower from inside Durham Cathederal taken yesterday.

Today we've seen similar at Westminster Abbey and soon at St George's, Windsor. Wonderful stonework and ancient buildings that have seen so much of time.

Today we finally say good bye to one of life's constants, The Queen, and here in the UK we will be poorer for that. I'm sure King Charles will carry on where his mother left us, but we are a country in testing times, and in trouble, most of it self inflicted.

The Queue, however, and the many who joined it maybe illustrate that focus groups and social media aren't how our politicians should run the country, which is clearly the norm right now. All those people from different walks of life can come together, and don't need constant division, red v blue, left v right....where does division get you?

Oh well, tomorrow is a new dawn, let's hope we've already hit rock bottom and are on the way up.
