Nesting swan

A few weeks ago there were signs that the swans on Swanswater were preparing to nest but then all went quiet and there was no sign of them. I was surprised today therefore to spot that there was indeed activity and one swan-- presumably mother -- was firmly ensconced on the nest while the other was keeping careful watch nearby.
