Sept 19

Due to the Queen's funeral today, many people had the day off from work or school. I had the whole team there today, 6 workers plus myself. This garden needed a major renovation and we have been working on parts of it all summer. Today we hauled 3 truckloads of debris out of there. The front garden is complete, other than adding some spring flowering bulbs next month, and a few other plants.
Two sections of the back garden have been dug out and all the debris removed. The section that we have been working on this summer is waiting for a consultation with the homeowner. When we started we knew there was a set of steps going part way up the bank. We uncovered a seating area with a retaining wall behind it made of old railway ties. The wall will need to be replaced before we can do much more on that bank. And if they are going to bring a machine in to take the old wall down, they might as well remove all weedy plants that are there. It will also need another wall at the bottom of the slope.
