Road Trippin' ...

... to Norwich, New York.

All this past week we have been getting ready to attend R's high school reunion being held in Norwich, NY where he grew up and attended school.

The drive up there is just under 3 hours so we didn't have to leave until after lunch.  We will be staying in a B&B in Bainbridge as this was the best place to stay rather than Norwich itself.  We got the the B&B right around 3:00 pm ... which just happened to be check-in time!

After checking in and bringing all our things to our lovely room we got ready for the reunion.  There were several places that R wanted to visit in Norwich so we left the B&B with plenty of time to visit all the places and still make it to the reunion on time.

One of the places we visited was the cemetery where his parents are laid to rest.  It had been too long since we were there.  His brother lives nearby and keeps the grave very well maintained.  We placed some of our beautiful dahlias on the grave before leaving.

After the cemetery we drove around Norwich so R could show some points of interest ... like the house he grew up.  I had seen it before but it was to fun see it again.

It was soon time to get to the reunion so we drove to the country club where it was being held.  The evening was fun ... even though I didn't know anybody!  And we learned that several of his classmates live nearby in Bethlehem, Allentown and Valley Forge!  It's a small world!

We left the reunion a little after 9:00 pm as the drive to the B&B was at least a half hour long ... and mostly on winding country roads!
