Ashes to ashes

I took the photo (above) a few weeks ago as I had never seen such an enormous haystack. Around two weeks ago it became an inferno that blazed for days and lit up the sky in orange and smoke.  The photo below is how it looks now. And it's still smouldering. That's a lot of money gone up in smoke, you might say.
