Helichrysum

These flowers are better known as Strawflowers. The petals can be either yellow, orange, red, white or pink. The crisp petal-like bracts are usually referred to as petals. In fact they are dry, dead tissue. The true flowers are are the tiny florets that make up a dense, centre disc that may match or contrast with the bracts.

A lovely sunny morning for a walk round Cambo Walled Garden, having enjoyed a coffee and shared freshly baked cheese and herb scone that was still warm from the oven.
