Egret

What a thrill it was to be able to capture images of this majestic Eastern Great Egret as it took flight.  They are truly one of the most graceful birds and this one was spectacular.  I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it wading in the inlet at Denmark.  When I was here in 2015 there were hundreds of Pelicans but today only a handful.  I think they must be all off shore as it’s breeding time.  I think this made up for my disappointment.
