Southend-on-Sea: Essexpedition

Im and I suddenly had a free day, so rather spontaneously headed out to Essex to visit Southend-on-Sea. We parked near Leigh-on-Sea train station and walked all the way along the seafront to Southend Pier... We were knackered by then, so took the train along the vast pier (apparently the longest pleasure pier in the world at 1.34 miles long).
We experienced mist, drizzle, rain, and sunshine, and thoroughly enjoyed our change of scene.
