Friday fish and chips

Couldn’t get to sleep last night at all, suspect a mix of mistakenly caffeinated coffee and general pre-travel nerves!
Plenty of time in the morning to get sorted (apart from losing my phone as I’d dropped it behind the bed!
Towed the cases down to the station and got settled at a table then a smooth journey. Worked on some reviewing most of the way then T met me and we went straight to P’s. Spent a busy couple of hours, talking to carers’ manager (quite a few wrinkles to sort out), tidying up, getting him new bedding etc, and T cut the lawn and did shopping then got fish and chips for supper. Pleased to see P really enjoyed it and ate quite a lot …first time he’s had a chip shop take out for many months.
We chatted on about Australia, his thoughts about the current set up and caters, food etc etc but he seemed on good form. His hearing was a bit touch and go but otherwise he’s obviously pleased to be back and quite happy.
T dropped me home and went off to work and I had a quiet evening whilst Kt was out with a friend. When she returned we talked about our various travel plans (she’s going to France in December and her mum’s currently in Melbourne where apparently it’s very cold and wet at the moment…eek!)
