Indulgence ...

We headed over to Killiekrankie this morning by way of the Craigower which takes you along a forest track above the A9 (which you then go under).  I was delighted to spot a red squirrel en-route - the first I'd seen for a while.

We enjoyed lovely vegetable soup for lunch at the visitors centre (which was busy) and then treated ourselved to coffee and cakes. They have resident pastry chef and the cakes are very good. T couldn't decided which to have so got three (!) between us - it was his birthday afterall. They were very tasty - although I could only manage the equivalent of one and tiny bit.

We then walked back along the Garry and passed Loch Dunsmore where technicians were busy setting up the lights for the Enchanted Forest which opens next week.

We walked around 9 miles on total (probably just as well after those cakes !)
