Another evening out …

… hence I’m slightly late with my blip.

Mr MacD went off to the Maritime Museum after we’d been to the Parnell Farmer’s Market and I pottered around doing a few household chores.  I popped over to visit Mum for a while, then did a bit of work before showering and changing ready to head into the city. Mr MacD arrived home after a good day out on the water and got ready for our evening out.  We went to Mezze for dinner, then to The Civic for a show entitled Hollie Smith Sings Jazz. It was another great evening, part of the Auckland Cabaret Season.  The band was excellent and Hollie Smith had a beautiful voice and could belt out the numbers, but wasn’t a good communicator.  It was almost as if she was too shy - quite a contrast to Shanghai Mimi from last week. And to top it all off, the All Blacks beat the Wallabies 40-14.

This morning we watched a long line of yachts heading out on a 9-hour race around Waiheke Island and back, which is in the main blip. 

The Civic is a fabulous venue and there is always a great atmosphere, so the two extras are views from the show and the venue.
