Spoonbill

It’s been a very VERY easy day today. A bit of a shop in the morning and then a bit of photography this afternoon. There was time to go into town to get some provisions and on my way home I thought I could see two Egrets feeding in the swampy area next to the road. There was nowhere to pull over so I had to park about 500 metres away. It turned out they were Spoonbills. I quietly walked back along the road with the Sony RX10 and managed to get quite a few of the two of them. I have been really astonished at the variety of wading and sea birds in this part of the South Coast.
