Walls.

What a day and the wind and rain have started, so I haven't been far today.   I decided to offer a black and white version today and I have changed the sky to be more like the day. The sun did shine, but not for long. These crumbling walls are Roman and part of Hadrian's Wall  The actual wall goes  from Wallsend to Bowness on Solway.  After that the defences continued by building forts at regular distances.  This was one of them.  You can see the flatness between the wall boundary and this is what you find at these forts.  These walls are called Burrow Walls and are found next to an old railway line (now cycle path) near Workington.
