Acorn Bank

Making the most of all things apple, I walked over to Acorn Bank again. It was risky because the temptation to get more baby apple trees was huge. I was very partial to the Forty Shilling. The blip is of another local, Kendal, variety (not actually anything to do with Horatio Nelson). I had a good wander about and headed down the river to the mill and back. After bumping into the gardener again I was sent on my way with a huge Charles Ross to sample.
I headed home with a stash of apples, some pears and collected sloes as I went and spent the rest of the afternoon listening to the radio as I made some chutney.
