Head of Ayr

Tipping it down here all day, so instead of an outdoor jaunt to Dumfries House or Culzean Castle, Gill and I headed to Rozelle House in Ayr to see an exhibition of quilts, which was fantastic!

In the Maclaurin Gallery next door was an exhibition of art and craft from South Ayrshire schools. This amazing clay head by a 13-year-old was my favourite piece.

We are now awaiting the arrival of Fiona for a Girls' Night during which pre-birthday fizz will be taken, an M&S meal eaten and world problem-solving will no doubt go on late into the night. Luckily we can stay the night here, and tomorrow Fiona and I celebrate our birthday.

More birthday fun awaits tomorrow after which I hope to catch up with everyone's journals.
