The Red King is Unamused

Up to the daughter’s with F - and with lovely muffins from Mimi’s too. And we all got shots of the wean, as you do. He does a good furrowed brow already. A good sign, as there is very much that is utterly baffling about the world around us.
No 1 source of bafflement of course was Friday’s financial “special event.” Not a budget, naw, because absolutely nothing is actually being budgeted for. No forecasts. Just hopeful outcomes based on scoot all and a huge tax give away to the rich. It’s a bloody disgrace that we’ve given the keys of the treasury over to ruddy schoolkids. Kami-bloody-Kwasi all right. Of course, if it all goes fabulously well you can quote this back to me in a couple of years. I shall willingly submit to my castigation.
