Morning at the Museum

A lovely meeting this morning at the Bakewell Old House Museum (it is seriously old!) where I bumped into my friends Sue and Keith who were in volunteer mode and manning the decks in the quite wonderful environment of the museum.
I was there to have a meeting with the manager Anita about their involvement with the Bakewell Baking Festival and as it is the 200th anniversary of Pride and Prejudice which has very strong Bakewell links (apparently finished in room no. 2 of the Rutland) so they have an exhibition celebrating this with the museum holding an exhibition of what they woould have worn from this period.
It's a no brainer that their involvement with the festival should have afternoon tea based around what Jane Austen would have enjoyed!
I ventured upstairs to a somewhat haunted area and whilst not seeing a ghost came upon this seriously scary doll which is part Bride of Chucky and Cousin of Hannibal Lector. I love it!
