Arrival

A long day trekking from our Lichfield campsite back down to Tenbury Wells to collect LH's brother and his partner and then back up to Hull for our Weds commitment. This is the Humber Bridge, an elegant approach to the city and, for us, a big memory bank of past countless journeys north from Surrey to see LH's parents and extended family. Tomorrow his Mum's ashes will be scattered in the great River Humber from the country park where we all did many walks.

On the way, we were charged with delivering the wedding dress back to it's source, so a diversion via Southwell, just NE of Nottingham. The dress and its wearer had a terrific time on Saturday and was showing a little wear and tear!  Hopefully it'll get some tlc and be returned better than the state in which it was delivered!  For me it was another opportunity to meet up with the Orcadian lass who runs the business and make a date to meet up again; she emanates such positive energy and is a real joy to be around.

Extras: arrival into TenburyWells (just a memento of our time there); and a view of Berry from the shop window - she needed a bounce!

Yesterday I took no photos, so nothing with which to blip! We had a busy time in the morning back over to Mr and Mrs Collier's helping sort through things and prepping her wedding bouquet for being sent off and made into a paperweight - such a lovely idea for a memento. Then off to a very late lunch with friends S and M and finally back to the motorhome.
