goldfinch sculpture

I am including this solely for its sculptural nature.
I was in the garden watching and listening to a rather large charm of goldfinch, who, until now, came to feed and vocally squabble over our two perch feeder. None of the afore mentioned charm would feed on the fallen seed. Until now
Using an extendable three foot pole (extending to 6 feet) a rod rest and a butchers hook (one i used to hang sausages from) i planted it into the newly seeded wildflower garden Specifically over an established Knapweed (which incidentally all seed heads had been removed). The seeds are wind distributed. A nightmare unless cut off post flowering. Anyway i digress, Once assembled and full feeder hung from hook, sit back and wait.
Not long after a huge charm appeared, descending on the ground all around the newly positioned feeder, using the hook (in photo) as pecking order rotation. So it appeared to me
It was  a dull flat light day and not one for taking photos, all the same i  took this one to show you.
