Across the valley

A view over the town.

Up earlier no Shredded Wheat today, switched to Porridge and then a slow and steady walk to get going with Coffee before and after ….. I am trying to reduce Coffee so this is just a one off.

Ignored the news till lunchtime, this is another change in an attempt to stay calmer.   Some success but not worth missing all the news for.

I seem to be reading less of The Guardian each day and instead I skim the Yorkshire Post  iPad edition (£7.99 a month is good value) and always find something to read there and love the photographs they include.

After lunch a quick trip to the Bakers and then Greengrocers. We love the bread and I am trying to be more consistent about eating more fruit each day rather than randomly.  The Raspberries we bought were top class (from Netherlands) and also got Blueberries BUT they had come from South Africa (not so happy with that) let’s hope they are tasty.

Back to the news including reading Dominic Cummings take on the Human Hand Grenade, apparently the only minister he ever shouted at (I doubt that), he says nothing going on behind the fixed gaze of the doll-like eyes.  The only PM worse than Boris Johnson?   …
last night I did try 5 minutes of Kenneth Branagh as Boris on Sky Atlantic
And just thought WHY, we lived through it, we can remember it, I just don’t care to see imagined behind the scenes stories.

I watched the 1966 episode of Our Friends in the North instead. Gina McKee is just brilliant in it.

I cancelled SKY CRICKET last month, next month is looking like decision time on SKY full stop.  Out of contract and previous negotiated discounts disappear.

TV …. Best programmes Villages by the Sea, Tintagel (King Arthur?) today, Craster tomorrow. Cley earlier in the week was fascinating then  Iolo Williams Wildlife stories and. Landward with Goshawks and talk of it being too wet in Glen Sheil in complete contrast to all points South and East.

Some rain forecast for us tomorrow  after a little over night and this afternoon the ground in damp at last
