Waypoints

One small step....

.... for a giant.

In old rural houses grain and other precious crops are kept in storerooms with a high, small doorway which keeps them safe from rats or other scavengers.  In the extra I have included the whole building.

The ravages on the exterior of this house, like many others one sees at the moment, are as a result of this year's desert sand storms which blew in from Africa and assailed much of southern Europe.  It covers whitewashed buildings with a rich ochre coloured powder which is difficult to remove.

Rain fell in Andalucia last night. It was wonderful to hear it beating on the roof and today has felt fresh and smelt all earthy. The sun is out again and skies are still blue but it is cooler and autumn is here.

Happy weekend everyone.
