Liquified Polarisation

Ingeborg set the theme of "filters" for today's Abstract Thursday Challenge which gave me the opportunity to play with the polariser, a monitor screen and some plastic wine glasses:

Filter effect 1: Photoelasticity using polarisers
I positioned the wine glasses in front of the screen showing a blank white image and attached a polarising filter to the lens.  With the screen acting as a second polarising source, the stresses in the plastic show up as wonderful rainbow patterns (extra)

Filter effect 2: Photoshop Liquify filter
I took the image into photoshop and used the liquify filter to push and pull the image to create a very abstract pattern.  Great fun!!
