Light of the marshes

Today we headed for he coast - I learnt today that Essex boasts the longest coastline of any English county. Who knew? I love Tollesbury a wonderful ramshackle of a coastal village at the mouth of the Blackwater estuary. The salt marsh is a site of special scientific interest and it has a bleakness to it which I find attractive. If you ever come to this part of the world do try the cheese scones with sea beet at The Loft Cafe. A treat!
