Cheerful

The colour of these roses is cheerful at least.  A supermarket bunch bought yesterday, each flower has several colours which I like for photography.
Today, at last, our new cooker light and extractor fan were fitted after some weeks of waiting.  Unfortunately the fan is fitted into an old (once working with coal) chimney and as the young electrician attempted to fit it, more than a little soot fell.  He was not expecting it and so took little precaution to protect any of the surrounding surfaces.  I declined when he asked if  we had a vacuum cleaner to clear up the mess, after which he did fetch  his own out of his van.  The extra shows the amount of soot still on a nearby work surface on the second or third clean.  Needless to say we spent most of the day clearing up!
