Pictorial blethers

Waiting

The main hall of Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery looked wonderfully exotic this evening - it's amazing what a few blue uplighters will do - in the half-hour before tonight's concert, in which the Gabrieli Consort performed Morales' Requiem. I shall blog more about the performance on blethers.blogspot.com another day, but tonight it is enough to say that this was a stellar performance of the entire Mass as it would be heard liturgically, plainsong, polyphony and procession (this last using the fantastic acoustic of the galleries) all combining in an experience that held me transfixed and left me limp.

A great evening.
