Tata Beach

A big night out last night, we hit Takaka and went to the cinema to see Moonage Daydream, a psychedelic, dreamy look at the complex man that was David Bowie. Arachne had seen it and been impressed and we enjoyed it too. He was a one off.
Today we did a few chores and then headed off for a long walk on Pohara beach, only a slight drizzle occuring. We bought sandwiches and ate them overlooking the sea. Then we went on to Tata, the flowers beautiful everywhere, garden escapees I imagine but now growing on the dunes. Tata has golden sands and dips sharply. We gazed out at the sea. Yes it had to be done. We leapt on and it was freezing. If you can survive the first 90 seconds then it gets easier apparently! Some truth in that and it was certainly invigorating.
Esme back late afternoon and there was sandpit action and bouncing.
Apologies for lack of communication but we only have a few more days here, starting our return journey on Thursday and time will be very family orientated.
It's gone very fast.
