Gotcha

On July 19th 2018 we walked from Sennen to Mousehole in Cornwall. It was an extremely tough, long day and I said it was a walk never to be repeated,
We are staying this week south of the village of St Buryan and today we walked the most difficult section of that walk with added interest in the form of mud and running water.
About a mile from the house we came across the Merry Maidens stone circle, , first extra, one of the best preserved stone circles in Britain. The story is that 19 maidens were turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath.
We then headed across the fields to Lamorna cove where we spotted a couple of seals, this one has caught lunch. Then on to the coastal path heading westwards where we had to rock climb, and walk through running water and lots of mud. We had lots of rain last night but the day turned out to be lovely. We soldered on treading carefully, overtaken by lots of young people until we came to St Loy where we headed inland but first had to cross the large boulders on the beach which at the far end in shot, second extra, were a lot larger than they appear. My husband managed to catch his head through his cap on a tree branch and drew blood but I will spare you that photo. We are going to do something more genteel tomorrow.
