So this happened:
As I stood taking my morning photo, a hawk mistook my grey baseball cap for a tasty rodent and got his talons into my scalp! He swooped away to a nearby pine and watched me finger my head and find blood. Yikes. Home, shower, tetnus shot and a weeks worth of antibiotics is the conclusion to my story. My hat is fine.
