Trapeziectomy

So, I arrived at the hospital at 7:15 this morning, had my pre op checks and was in theatre by 9am. An hour later and I was in recovery with a cup of tea & 3 ginger nut biscuits. 
A weird experience, not too dissimilar to a trip to the dentist. I was awake for the procedure, my left hand being totally numb but I could still move my digits as normal. 
So now a slow recovery apparently, but hopefully all of my original pain/symptoms will disappear with time.
