Todays Mono Monday theme is ‘Musical’, thanks to V1K1
This is a rather old metronome with a weighted upright pendulum which you set to beat to a  desired tempo . You adjust the height of the weight to move at the appropriate speed. The scale is helpfully marked with terms such as larghetto, adagio andante etc. 
Unfortunately it no longer works despite a local clockmaker spending some time trying to coax it back to life.
