Auction preparation

Auction halls are always scruffy places, if you exclude Bonhams and their ilk. An empty one, before the goods start arriving, is especially desolate, not less so when it’s attached to a livestock market. Before the day is out, this place will be filled with goodies, though.

By the time we had brought in our first load, and done three triangular trips between home and store, we had 200 miles under our belt.
